Club Details:
Prime Time Play means "adult open play" with the following rules to clarify who is allowed to play during these times and what type of events can be played. The general rules for Prime Time Play are as follows: No Singles Games are allowed unless there is no one waiting for a court. No Private Lessons are to be given. No Juniors are allowed to play unless they are approved by the head junior coach (Andrew Ma). There is a list of pre-approved juniors who can play. Any non-approved juniors who play during Prime Time must vacate the court if there are Adults waiting for the court. Open Play All Ages - Families are encouraged to come and play during this time along with Juniors and Adults. There is no priority given for the courts - everyone shares the courts using the sign-up board.
Unless otherwise specified in the Events Calendar, the club will be supervised during Prime Time, Ladders and Open Play for the following days and times:
Monday 7:00pm - 10:00pm - Prime Time (6 Courts Open) Tuesday 9:00am - 11:00 am - Organized Adult Play (6 Courts Used); 7:00pm - 9:30pm - Junior Doubles Ladder Night (6 Courts Used) Wednesday 7:00pm - 10:00 pm - Prime Time (6 Courts Open) Thursday 9:00am - 11:00 am - Organized Adult Play (6 Courts Used); 7:00pm - 10:00pm - Adult Doubles Ladder Night (6 Courts Used) - Guests Welcome at 7:00pm Friday 7:00pm - 10:00pm - Prime Time (6 Courts Open) Sunday 10:00am - 4:00pm - Open Play for all ages (6 Courts Open) ; 7:00pm - 10:00pm - Open Play for all ages (6 Courts Open)
Guests are welcome at any time during these supervised hours. The fee for playing as a guest is: Adults $12 Students $9 Court Time Rotation: Our court rotation system allows everyone 25 minutes on court at a time. When no one is waiting you may play as long as you like, but when we are busier, please adhere to the 25 minute time limit. Record the time when you go on court and your name; that way others know when you are expected off, so they can sign up for the next available court accordingly. Erase your name when you come off court.
Please remember, members must scan in immediately every time you come in the door, no matter the time of day. We require the scanning for several reasons including tracking court usage.
The Board of Directors meets at 5:30 pm. usually the first Monday of each month. If you have new ideas for the club, or just want to be more involved in your club, feel free to attend. The Board is always open to new members, so please consider volunteering your time to participate in decision making. And speaking of volunteering, there is lots to be done. We need help with supervising the Junior Open Play time, cleaning, maintenance, gardening/snow shovelling and running tournaments. Remember, a minimum 3 ½ hours of work over the year will give you full credit for the volunteer fee on renewal of your membership. Any extra work done continues to help keep the club running smoothly and expanding programs. It also makes the club a better place for all when more participate in its operation. See the Volunteer bulletin board for ideas on what you can do, or talk to Sheila at the front desk. There are lots more jobs that are waiting to be done than what is listed on the forms.
As always, new members are welcome any time of year! Our Special Introductory Membership Base Fee is only $149! Email us for more information!
Please note: we accept cash or cheque only. |
